So You Found Someone Cheaper?
Are you looking for a cheap photographer or a good photographer?
A lot of photographers have expenses. And we all must make sure that we can pay off those expenses, eliminate unnecessary ones, and minimize future ones... But expenses will exist for us either way.
Here are some examples of recurring expenses that photographers have:
-Monthly editing software fees
-Monthly gallery services fees
-Monthly camera payments
-Monthly insurance payments
-Fuel/Mileage
-Vehicle wear and tear/Insurance/Registration etc.
-Flash gear upgrades (sand and salt kill them quickly)
-Tripod/flash stand replacement costs (sand and salt again)
-Drone Equipment insurance
-Video editing software monthly fees
-Advertisement fees
-Annual URL name fee (we have 4)
-Monthly website service fees (other than the gallery)
-Monthly royalty-free stock photo/music/video b-roll fees
I can keep going if you'd like. This doesn’t even include one’s other bills/expenses of life. You get the drift.
The point is, if you're looking for a "cheap photographer" then you're looking for someone without expenses, and someone without expenses lacks services and conveniences for you. Also, it may mean that
the "cheap photographer" is less experienced due to lack of tools, etc.
How would you be on this site if we charged $20 for 30mins? We have to drive 30-45mins to get there! That’s 2 expenses off the rip, let alone the time to get there. We all (PCB businesses) know you rented that expensive condo, eating at Barracuda Bill’s (insert other overpriced tourist seafood joint), drinking those $60 hand-grenade margaritas at the beach bar, getting tattoos, drinking Henny from the package store, renting Slingshots/golf carts/scooters, I can go all day on your expenses too. The key is PRIORITIES. You want to save money for your fun, we want to pay bills and make a profit so we can support our families. Now we all understand!
