About Me: Hi, I'm Jody! I bring a unique personality to the table - a straight-shooter with a friendly twist. I love sarcastic humor and have a knack for making others laugh. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me enjoying music, playing soccer, fishing, relishing good food, and cruising on motorcycles. Originally from Idaho, I was raised in the UK and have called the Panama City area home since 2008. I'm an easy-going, passionate, and determined individual.

And when it comes to cats, they can't resist my charm. Despite not being a fan initially, they seem to gravitate towards me. I have three cats at home, two of which I've rescued. It's become a habit to lend a helping hand when a feline friend needs it.

Professionally Interview Your Photographer

These questions can help you gain insights into the photographer's background, artistic perspective, professionalism, and overall passion for their craft.

  1. What initially sparked your interest in photography? During my whole childhood, I traveled a lot, and I always had a Canon 35mm film camera.

  2. How would you describe your photography style and approach? I shoot on the darker side because I enjoy using “off-camera flash” (OCF), to make those background colors pop and not be washed out.

  3. What types of photography do you specialize in? Family portraiture, landscape portraits (beach), weddings, maternity, military events, and even videography.

  4. Can you share some of your favorite projects or experiences as a photographer? I recently edited a drone pilot’s video footage into a montage for a local swimming pool company, that was cool.

  5. What do you enjoy most about being a photographer? I enjoy making things smooth and seamless for clients, keeping it simple so they can enjoy their vacation.

  6. How do you handle challenging or difficult situations during a photoshoot? I stay calm and ask specific questions to reach the goal that is desired. I communicate on the spot as opposed to later (I’m direct).

  7. What is your process for collaborating with clients to understand their vision and needs? I keep an open-door policy and encourage clients to ask questions, and I encourage them to share ideas.

  8. Are there any photographers or artists who have influenced your work? Jared Polin (Fro Knows Photo) actually influenced my business name. His course taught me to understand the science of photography.

  9. How do you stay inspired and continually improve your skills as a photographer? I actually take critiques from non-clients to practice more in a different style to showcase my flexibility.

  10. What sets you apart from other photographers in terms of your style or approach? I don’t know how to describe it, but other photographers in the area know they are my photos even without a watermark.
